Students went on a photowalk with their iPads after we talked about the rule of thirds. Students then used iPhoto and the built in filters of the iPad camera to manipulate some of their photos. These photos were cropped to fit the aspect ration of the Google slide deck. Students uploaded their photos to their Google Drive to insert into the presentation. They used their Chromebooks to insert the photo from drive to presentation slide.
Today we used our iPads to explore Google Maps. We traveled around the world and with Google’s Street view we were able to see places as they are. We even traveled inside the White House from room to room. This was a simple fun activity as we looked at Google Maps for the first time on iPads.
We like working in groups. We use our whiteboard tables to plan out our thoughts. We discuss our topics and do research together.
